According to a recent Scranton, PA Times Tribune article, a stagnant economy combined with the Wilkes University's separate commitment to try to complete $80 million dollars in renovations to a building that houses the school's science, health, and engineering programs, led the university's board of trustees to suspend the plan to build a law school on the school's Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania campus.
The President of Wilkes University noted hopes to rejuvenate the plans on the law school in a few years.
