In follow-up to yesterday's Tort Talk blog post on the Benevolent Gesture Liability Act, I note that P.J. D'Annunzio of
The Legal Intelligencer reported in today's edition of that paper that Governor Tom Corbett signed the bill into law yesterday, October 22, 2013.
Under the law Pennsylvania doctors can now apologize to patients and families in matters of medical malpractice without fear of having such apologies used against them in a court of law.
